Many a time, people take these supplements in the wrong way.
Some supplements should not be taken together, otherwise the body will not be able to derive any benefit.
The lifestyle of most people has become very hectic these days and people are unable to take time for their health. This results in a deficiency of vitamins and minerals in their body. To fix this problem, doctors often recommend taking vitamin and mineral supplements. Many times people take these supplements in the wrong way and they do not get any benefit from them. According to experts, some supplements should not be taken together otherwise the body will not be able to derive any benefit.
Dr Sonia Rawat, Director, Department of Preventive Health and Wellness, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi told News18 that many supplements should not be taken together. There should be a gap of a few hours between these two supplements. Taking some vitamins and minerals at the same time can cause problems in absorbing each other. As a result, the body does not get the right amount of these substances. The right time and way of taking supplements should be checked with the doctor so that no harm occurs.

Vitamin C and Vitamin B12 –
Vitamin C is important for strengthening the immune system, while vitamin B12 is important for the nervous system. Taking these two supplements at the same time should be avoided because high amounts of vitamin C can reduce the absorption of vitamin B12.
Vitamin D and Magnesium –
Vitamin D is necessary for bones and calcium absorption. On the other hand, magnesium also helps maintain healthy bones. However, one should avoid taking vitamin D and magnesium at the same time. These two substances can also affect each other.
