Here’s a look at seven players who have won the ICC Champions Trophy titles on multiple occasions.

India beat New Zealand by four wickets on Sunday (March 9) in the final to win the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 title. Captain Rohit Sharma top-scored for the Men in Blue in the nail-biting match played at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, and Kuldeep Yadav picked up two wickets for 40 runs in 10 overs.
For his superb batting performance, the 37-year-old right-handed batter won the Player of the Match award in the Champions Trophy 2025 final. India’s win in the summit clash also helped Rohit join an elite list of players who have won multiple Champions Trophy winners medals.
Here’s a look at seven players to win multiple Champions Trophy titles:
Ricky Ponting (Australia) – 2006, 2009
Ricky Ponting was the captain of the Australian team that won the 2006 and 2009 Champions Trophy titles. In the final of the 2006 Champions Trophy, Ponting failed to open his account against the West Indies at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai, whereas in the 2009 Champions final, the legendary batter scored 1 run against New Zealand at the SuperSport Park in Centurion. Ponting is the only captain in history to win multiple Champions Trophy titles.
Shane Watson (Australia) – 2006, 2009
Shane Watson won back-to-back Champions Trophy titles with the Aussies in 2006 and 2009. In the 2006 CT final, he picked up 2 wickets for 11 runs in three overs against the West Indies and then scored an unbeaten 57 runs to win the POTM award, and in the 2009 Champions Trophy final played against the New Zealand team, Watson remained unbeaten on 105 runs to win the POTM award.
Michael Hussey (Australia) – 2006, 2009
Michael Hussey also won back-to-back Champions Trophy titles with Australia in 2006 and 2009. He didn’t get a chance to bat in the 2006 final, but in the 2009 CT decider, he played against New Zealand, and Hussey scored 11 runs as a No. 5 batter in the 201-run chase.
Brett Lee (Australia) – 2006, 2009
Legendary pacer Brett Lee won Champions Trophy titles with Australia in 2006 and 2009. In the 2006 final, he picked up one wicket against the West Indies at Brabourne Stadium, and in the 2009 final, he dismissed two New Zealand batters.
Rohit Sharma (India) – 2013, 2025
Rohit Sharma was the member of the Indian team that won the 2013 Champions Trophy title under MS Dhoni’s leadership, and in 2025, he led India to a four-wicket win over New Zealand in the final match played at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Rohit was only able to score 9 runs in the 2013 CT final, but in the 2025 CT final, he hammered 76 runs from 83 balls and won the POTM award.
Virat Kohli (India) – 2013, 2025
Virat Kohli has also won two Champions Trophy titles for Team India. He won the 2013 title under Dhoni’s captaincy, and in 2025 he was an integral member of the Rohit Sharma-led title-winning side.
Ravindra Jadeja (India) – 2013, 2025
Jadeja is the third Indian cricketer to win multiple ICC Champions Trophy titles. He finished as the leading wicket-taker in the 2013 Champions Trophy, and in the 2025 Champions Trophy, he scored winning runs in the final played against New Zealand.
