Knight has starred in a long list of blockbuster films and hit TV shows over the course of his 40-year Hollywood career.
Most famously, he played scheming mailman Newman on Seinfeld for seven years alongside the NBC show’s core cast Jerry Seinfeld, Jason Alexander, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Michael Richards.
The sitcom ran for nine season from 1992 to 1998. Knight appeared in 45 of Seinfeld’s 180 episodes.

In the midst of his Seinfeld success, Knight also nabbed a role on the NBC sitcom, 3rd Rock from the Sun, starring John Lithgow, Kristen Johnston and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. It ran for six seasons from 1996 to 2001.
In 2011, he reunited with Johnston as they both starred in the TV Land sitcom The Exes for four seasons.
He’s also had a slew of memorable guest roles on shows like in Hot In Cleveland, Law & Order: SVU, Narcos, Bones and, more recently, Netflix’s That 90s’ Show.
Before becoming a TV fixture, Knight had already found success in film with roles in 1987’s Dirty Dancing and 1993’s Jurassic Park.
His other notable big screen credits include: Space Jam (1996), Rat Race (2001) and Cheaper By The Dozen (2003).
Knight’s voice acting resume is equally as impressive as his work in front of the camera.
He’s lent his voice talents to over 45 film, TV and video game projects – including the beloved Disney animated features Hercules (1997), Tarzan (1999) and Toy Story 2 (1999).
Deadline recently reported in April that Knight will voice a character in the upcoming TV adaptation of the  Among Us video game.
As for his personal life, Knight has been married to wife Clare Knight since 2003.Â
Before Clare, the actor was married to makeup artist Paula Sutor for seven years.
He and his current wife are based in LA and share 17-year-old son Liam, who will celebrate his 18th birthday on October 15.
