India won the toss and opted to bat first as the tourists were bundled out for a total of 150 runs in the first innings thanks to Josh Hazlewood’s four-fer. However, Bumrah led the Indian bowling attack as the Indian’s four-wicket haul wrapped up the Aussie innings for 104 runs.
Team India picked up on their learning from the first innings and applied it to incredible effect in the second innings as the visitors posted 487 runs for the loss of 6 wickets before declaring the innings thanks to tons from dashing opener Yashasvi Jaiswal and Kohli.

Bumrah came back to haunt the Aussies in the second innings as he added a three-fer, with Mohammed Siraj also removing three Australian wickets to limit the hosts to a score of 238 runs to register the memorable victory.
