Hyun Bin is making his comeback on a variety show after a hiatus of 13 years.

Crash Landing On You star Hyun Bin is undoubtedly among the most popular actors in South Korea. At present, the 42-year-old is actively promoting his upcoming period drama Harbin, scheduled to be released on December 25. For one such promotional activity, the actor is set to appear on a variety show, which marks his return to the genre after nearly 13 years.
On December 6, the Korean media outlet OSEN reported that Hyun Bin would soon appear as a guest on the Zzanbro Shin Dong Yup show. Hosted by Shin Dong Yup and Jung Ho Chul, the show follows a format where the duo engage in candid conversations with their guests over drinks.
Hyun Bin’s Harbin co-stars Park Jung Min, Jeon Yeo Been, and Park Hoon will also accompany him. Moreover, the 42-year-old actor’s upcoming appearance in the show will also mark the first time that he will be gracing a drinking show in his more than two-decade-long career. Hyun Bin might discuss his upcoming film and shed light on his married life with his Crash Landing You co-star, actress Son Ye Jin. For the uninitiated, the two got married in 2022, and in the same year, the couple welcomed their first child.
According to the report, the episode has already been filmed, which has left his fans in anticipation. However, the date of the episode’s release hasn’t been announced yet.
Previously, Hyun Bin’s agency, VAST Entertainment, confirmed that the actor will guest star on tvN’s You Quiz on the Block, marking the end of his 13-year-long hiatus from variety shows. The actor last appeared on a variety show in 2011.
The upcoming film Harbin, a biographical period drama, is directed by Woo Min Ho and follows the story of Ahn Jung Geun, played by Hyun Bin. Set in 1909, during Japan’s colonisation of Korea, the film will revolve around Ahn Jung Geun, a Korean independence activist and the sole survivor of a bloody battle, a daring mission to assassinate Ito Hirobumi, Japan’s first Prime Minister and a symbol of Japanese oppression. The film also features Park Jeong Min, Jo Woo Jin, Jeon Yeo Been, Park Hoon, Yoo Jae Myung, Lily Franky and Lee Dong Wook.
Speaking of Hyun Bin’s work, the actor, who made his debut in the early 2000s, got widespread acclaim for his role in Crash Landing On You, co-starring his now-wife Son Ye Jin. On the other hand, the 42-year-old actor was last seen in the film The Point Men, released in 2023.
