Emotional Taylor Swift fans have broken down in tears after the singer finished her final show of the record-breaking Eras Tour on Sunday night.

The popstar, 34, rounded off ‘the most exciting, powerful, electrifying, intense, most challenging’ experience in Vancouver, Canada, after kicking off the tour in March 2023.

After selling 149 shows and selling more than 10.1 million tickets, Swifties – the term used for Taylor’s most loyal fans – could not believe the tour was finally at an end after almost two years.

Many took to TikTok to express their devastation at the end of the iconic concert, with some breaking down in tears and asking ‘What do I do now?’

Swifties based in the UK stayed up into the early hours of the morning despite having work and school to watch the final show on a grainy livestream in the hopes of a final announcement from Taylor.

After Taylor concluded her show, Poppy @popunsteady, 20, from the UK, posted a tearful video to TikTok, writing: ‘Where the f*** do we go now I’m so serious.’

Annie @annieseats_ said: ‘Me because the eras tour is actually over. It’s done. 2 years and it’s done. What. Do. You. Mean.

‘Surprised there was no announcement? No documentary?’

After the show ended, she posted an emotional follow-up video, writing: ‘So that’s really it? Thank you forever Taylor.’

Fans struggled to believe the tour was finally over and, with the memory of many an evening spent watching livestreams of the show, they were left at a loss for what to do next.

The Eras Tour is the highest grossing tour of all time and the first to pass $1billion in revenue.

Comprising distinct ‘eras’ based on her 10 studio albums, the singer has broken an abundance of records with her three-hour-long, 40 song setlist.

Eras – with its glitz, glam and celebrity guests – has seen Taylor become the first ever person to be crowned a billionaire predominately from music, and the world’s richest female musician.

The impressive spectacle pulled in more than four million fans to arenas around the world, with A-listers, political figures and even royals all competing to be the ‘biggest Swiftie’ out there.

The Eras Tour has redefined the idea of the concert as we previously knew it – with beloved fan traditions, including the famous friendship bracelets, the three-hour setlist and competitive battle for tickets changing the sphere of live music perhaps forever.

Meanwhile Taylor’s personal life has been a huge subject of interest following her break-up with long-term boyfriend Joe Alwyn in April 2023, just one month after the tour began.

In May 2023, she made headlines worldwide for her romance with The 1975 frontman Matty Healy, before finding her Love Story with Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce.

Fans had hoped Taylor would round off the Eras Tour with one final big announcement – with many pinning their hopes on a re-recorded version of Reputation.

However, there were no big surprises or special guests – with Taylor sharing a big hug with her team and walking away from the stage with them.

Taylor’s final acoustic ‘surprise song’ set included a mash-up of A Place In This World from her debut album and 1989’s New Romantics – a song originally on the deluxe album that has become a fan favourite.

She then played Long Live from Speak Now, which she’s often said is dedicated to her fans, and which was on the set list before The Tortured Poets Department segment was added.

The final surprise songs for the final show were New Year’s Day – which poignantly features the lyrics ‘hold on to the memories, they will hold on to you’ – and The Manuscript.

Taylor’s mother Andrea was in the audience to watch her daughter perform Eras one final time – though Travis had to miss it for a football game.

Taylor concluded: ‘I want to thank every single one of you for being a part of the most thrilling chapter of my entire life to date – my beloved Eras Tour.’

And she thrilled her fans one final time by singing ‘Karma is the guy on The Chiefs, coming straight home to me’ – a lyric change dedicated to her boyfriend.

As the show drew to a close, her latest album TTPD returned to the number one slot on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

Following the end of her tour, which began in March 2023, the Pennsylvania native plans to take a year off work, according to Us Weekly – although fans will never know what Taylor really has up her sleeve.
