Internet sent into a frenzy as popular influencer Trisha Paytas makes SNL debut: ‘She stole the show’

Internet personality Trisha Paytas stole the show during her surprise Saturday Night Live appearance, with viewers praising her charisma and humor.

The famed influencer known for her vlogs, music videos and mukbangs has added comedy to her résumé – and her fans revealed they are absolutely thrilled about it.

Paytas, 36, made her SNL debut on Saturday during a sketch poking fun at Paul Mescal’s character and his absurd music taste.

She starred as a guest on fictional musician Satoshi Gutmann’s ‘Awakenings’ podcast, amazing fans with her amusingly ridiculous lines.

‘Trisha Paytas stole the show in a hilarious new SNL sketch, showcasing her comedic talent and charm!’ one X user gushed.

The satirical scene began with cast members and Mescal discussing their Spotify Wrapped results with one another.

‘Oh, you mean the most embarrassing day of the year?’ Ego Nwodim said when Andrew Dismukes asked about everyone’s musical summaries.

Sarah Sherman added: ‘Yeah, I don’t want to talk about mine. It’s so much Noah Khan, it’s literally a cry for help.’

But the Gladiator II star was not ashamed about his music choices, sharing that among his top artists were Kendrick Lamar, Sabrina Carpenter and Satoshi Gutmann.

‘You guys don’t know Satoshi Gutmann?’ Mescal’s persona, Myron, asked when the cast members seemed baffled by his top artist.

‘Satoshi Gutmann, the anti-instrumentalist sound guru of Dundalk, Maryland. Y’all seriously don’t know Satoshi?’

The skit took a hysterical turn when Mescal showed a clip of Satoshi – played by Bowen Yang – and shared the ‘ace core’ singer was his most listened to artist.

‘Hey Spotify wrapped,’ Satoshi opened the video. ‘Satoshi Gutmann here, thank you from the bottom of my a** for being one of my top listeners of 2024. Now, let’s hear my hit “Y’all made me celibate.”‘

In the spoof song, the made-up musician sang: ‘I was normal, but then y’all made me celibate. I was a nympho, y’all a**es made me celibate.’

The cast acted totally shocked by the eccentric artist, only to become even more flabbergasted when they discovered he also had a podcast featuring the ‘iconic’ Paytas.

‘Hey my galactic bastards,’ Yang said. ‘My a** is so hard for today’s episode, our guest is friend of the pod, the iconic Trisha Paytas.’

‘Hey bastards!’ Paytas energetically exclaimed while smiling in a pink mini dress and waving into the camera.

In unison, seemingly on trend with Satoshi’s musical genre and messaging, Paytas and Yang yelled some advice to his fans: ‘The best bussy is celi-bussy.’

‘Myron, this is so insane!’ Sherman asserted just moments before Paytas and Yang actually appeared in the room with them. Suddenly star struck, they asked what they were doing there.

‘Me and my king Satoshi were just speed-walking in the area,’ Paytas said in a bubbly tone while mimicking speed-walking with her arms.

Throwing all their doubts about Satoshi to the side, everyone started dancing and singing to ‘I was normal, but then y’all made me celibate.’

As viewers pointed out, Paytas showed she is far from camera shy – confidently carrying herself throughout her entire performance.

‘Okay Trish renaissance happening and I’m so here for it,’ a fan wrote on X.  ‘She’s such an amazing comedian I love her,’ another added.

‘Trisha’s comedy skills shining bright,’ someone agreed. ‘She definitely owned that sketch.’
