Carolina comes into the day’s contest looking for their first win. The Panthers allowed the Bears to rack up 59 points against them. To their credit, they were able to get plenty of offense going themselves, but the defense had no answer for the running game or passing attack of Chicago. Atlanta also took a loss, but their defense was a bit more respectable. The Falcons lost to the Steelers after visiting Pittsburgh in Week 1. Their team will look for Cooper Rush to lead the way again. Bijan Robinson was the focal point of the offense and should be again after getting 173 total yards and a touchdown.
In the afternoon game, we have a matchup of two playoff squads from last season. The Jaguars lost to the Bills in the opening round, but they put up a decent fight. Last week they dismantled the Cleveland Browns. Trevor Lawrence looked great, throwing for four touchdowns in the game. He spread his passes to a multitude of teammates, showcasing all of their weapons. Denver struggled to get much going after coming within a game of making the Super Bowl last season. Bo Nix returned from ankle surgery in the offseason, but he did well in his return. The Chiefs defense seemed ready for him and held Nix to just 131 passing yards and JK Dobbins to just 36 rushing yards.
