Umar Riaz criticized Bigg Boss makers for not showing his serious injuries on TV and compared his experience with Karan Veer Mehra.
Umar Riaz, who gained recognition for his appearance on Bigg Boss 15, has accused the show’s makers of biases. Umar shared an Instagram Stories featuring a post about the developments inside the Bigg Boss 18 house. The original post praised Vivian Dsena for defending Karan Veer Mehra, who suffered a visible facial injury during last week’s nomination task. Resharing the post, the ex-Bigg Boss contestant recalled the time when he faced similar scars on his forehead during his appearance on the popular reality show.
Umar shared that he was deliberately ignored by the makers because he was not their “nepo child.”
The former BB contestant wrote, “Face injury bollocks. I wish I could have shown my forehead scars during my task. I am sure the channel didn’t show, coz I was never their nepo child.”
During last week’s nomination task in Bigg Boss 18 house, Karan Veer Mehra got into a heated exchange with Rajat Dalal with both both the contestants charging at each other. This resulted in Karan’s glasses breaking during the activity, causing an injury. Karan and Rajat have been seen getting into heated exchanges since the start of the show.
Umar Riaz was evicted from Bigg Boss 15 following an alleged physical altercation with Pratik Sehajpal. After his eviction, he openly called his eviction unfair. Umar accused the makers of being biased towards certain contestants.
Speaking with ETimes in 2022, Umar said, “I feel that I was given the tag of being aggressive right from the beginning. Yes, I was aggressive in tasks, but I’ve never physically pushed or hit anyone. It was said that I was warned earlier too, but I don’t remember when was I given any warning. Then they said my eviction was on the basis of the audience’s vote. But when I came out of the house, I got to know that most people were only showering love on me, so how was this eviction based on janta’s decision?”
Umar Riaz is the brother of Asim Riaz, who rose to fame after participating in Bigg Boss 13, where he became the first runner up, against the Siddharth Shukla.
