Actor Allu Arjun is currently basking in the success of Pushpa 2. In a recent interview, the actor talked about his fitness routine. He mentioned what he does to keep in shape and how he always has the same breakfast every day. He also revealed that he tweaks his diet and workout routines depending on the requirements of the film.

In a conversation with Pinkvilla, Allu Arjun opened up about his fitness regime. The actor mentioned that he starts his day with eggs. He said, “Breakfast is mostly the same. Always filled with eggs. The last meal of the day…depends. Many a times, chocolate binge.” He added that his workout includes a mix of running and calisthenics. He continued, “I run for 45 minutes to one hour on an empty stomach.”

While the benefits of running are many, running on an empty stomach has more added benefits. Here are the benefits of running on an empty stomach.

  1. 1. Increased Fat Burning: When you run on an empty stomach, your body is more likely to burn fat for energy since glycogen (stored carbs) levels are lower. This can help with fat loss, particularly for those aiming to reduce body fat.
  2. 2. Improved Insulin Sensitivity: Fasted running may improve insulin sensitivity, which is beneficial for managing blood sugar levels and reducing the risk of type 2 diabetes.
  3. 3. Increased Growth Hormone Production: Fasted exercise, including running, may increase the release of growth hormones, which can help with muscle recovery and fat metabolism.
  4. 4. Convenience: Running on an empty stomach can be convenient for those who prefer not to eat before workouts, especially in the morning when time may be limited.
  5. 5. Better Mental Focus: For some individuals, exercising on an empty stomach can help with mental clarity and focus, as the body isn’t distracted by digestion.

Experts suggest that fasted running may not be suitable for everyone. For some people, fasted running can lead to a drop in blood sugar levels which can lead to dizziness and even fainting. It is essential to listen to your body and stay hydrated before adding any fasted exercise to your workout routine.
