Claudia Winkleman has revealed the secret to her nearly 25 year marriage to husband Kris Thykier, in rare comments about their relationship.
The presenter, 52, and the film producer, also 52, tied the knot in June 2000 and went on to welcome children, Jake, 21, Matilda, 18, and Arthur, 13.
Ahead of their silver wedding anniversary next year, Claudia opened up about the pair’s longstanding romance as she admitted she was ‘incredibly lucky’,
The Strictly Come Dancing host also described how Kris’ Danish heritage influences their relationship, describing him as ‘a bit of a Viking’.
Speaking to The Sunday Times about the secret to the longevity of their marriage, she quoted Gwyneth Paltrow’s director father, Bruce Danner.
Claudia said: ‘Bruce Danner was asked, “You’ve had a long marriage, didn’t you want to get divorced?” And he went, “Sure, but never at the same time.” Best. Line. Ever. I feel incredibly lucky.’

She went on: ‘I can’t talk much about Kris or he’ll be sick but he’s incredibly Scandi. None of it’s my job, it’s always our job.
‘He’s never said, “What’s for dinner?” It would be, “What are we having for dinner? Should I make something?” It’s a tiny inflection, but it is different.
‘Or, “What day do the kids go back to school?” He doesn’t ask me that. He looks it up. His whole family’s the same.’
The couple have also recently begun working more closely together, after Claudia quit under fire talent agency YMU in July to join Little Arrow, a company founded by Kris.
Claudia currently juggles hosting duties on Strictly Come Dancing, popular series The Traitors and music show The Piano.
She previously explained how she manages to balance her career with her home life, quipping ‘my husband is a better parent than me.’
While in 2020, she opened up about her relationship in Red magazine, as she revealed her other half is ‘much more romantic’ than her but they share everything.
Claudia said: ‘You see, Kris is very Scandinavian. We’ve been together for 22 years and he’s never once said to me, ‘What’s for dinner?’ It’s always been, ‘What shall we have for dinner?’

‘So we share, and when one of us is snowed under, the other person will help. He knows that in the lead-up to the Strictly final, for example, I’m useless, so he might be in charge of getting Christmas presents for our nephews and nieces……
She added that between the two of them, Kris is definitely more lovey-dovey, saying: ‘I’m not a romantic person, he’s much more romantic than me, the poor guy!’
The TV personality also confessed her children beg her to give them some space during the 10 months of the year when she’s not busy presenting Strictly Come Dancing.
Speaking to MailOnline last year, Claudia blamed the ‘awful’ habit on her former newspaper editor mum Eve Pollard, 80.
She began: ‘I get on the tube all the time but I’ve never been recognised in my life, never in my life. I’m on there four times a day with my kids…’
‘I’m on telly sometimes but only for two months in the year and the rest of the time, I zip around. For the rest of the year, I lick the children.
‘I follow them around and I’m a very annoying human being to them. They say, “Mum give us some space,” and I say “no”. I’m awful. It comes from my own mum.’
