How to Make Beetroot Cheek Tint at Home?

Ingredients Required:

  • Fresh beetroot
  • Aloe vera gel (or a natural gel base)
  • Coconut oil (or any other light carrier oil like almond oil)

Procedure:

Step 1: Peel one beetroot first, and grate or chop it into small pieces.

Step 2: Then, add it in a bowl, pour some water into it, and boil it for 10-15 minutes.

Step 3: Once cooked, let it cool down and squeeze its juice from the mixture using a clean cloth or strainer.

Step 4: Take a few tablespoons of the juice to a skillet and keep on a low burner while the mixture thickens.

Step 5: When the amount is half, turn off the heat and add aloe vera gel to it (aloe vera gel serves as the base for the tint and will help it blend smoothly into the skin).

Step 6: Add a few drops of almond oil or coconut oil to this mixture for enhanced moisturizing and nourishing.

Step 7: Mix them well to preserve the tint for longer, and now allow this mixture to cool.

Step 8: For this, pour the mixture into a lip balm container before it thickens.

Step 9: Make sure the container is tightly sealed for the tint to last for up to a few weeks. Bingo! Your beetroot cheek tint is ready for use.

How To Use?

  • Use your fingertips or a makeup sponge to take a generous amount.
  • Now apply on your cheeks gently in upward strokes.
  • Set it with a translucent powder to ensure the tint lasts throughout the day.
