Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco step up as volunteers to offer their exhausted first responders battling the flames amid the ongoing Los Angeles wildfires. The duo took an extra mile to help those on the frontlines making sure firefighters and police officers felt assisted on the ground. Offering a glimpse of their efforts while also reflecting on her experience, Gomez added a bunch of photos and videos online. In a clip, they were seen personally handing out food and water to the brave individuals who have been working around the clock to control the raging fire.

In a follow-up addition to her Instagram stories, she included a video of the scenes from the ground and wrote, “I’m grateful for these individuals.” More videos gave fans a peek into the situation and the sandwiches the celebrity couple bought with themselves to ensure the individuals were well-fed.

Before Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco, Taylor Swift also contributed to the relief programme as she made a big donation announcement to relief organisations. The pop star shared a touching message about the devastating Los Angeles fires wherein she revealed making an undisclosed donation as her contribution. In her post, she also urged her fans to help in relief efforts.

The note shared on her Instagram stories read, “The fires in California have affected so many families, and it’s been truly heartbreaking to witness.” Further sharing that she is disheartened over the immense loss and destruction, she added in her note, “As so many face some of the toughest challenges of their lives, there are also incredible groups and organisations coming together to help these communities rebuild.”

To aid those affected in the raging fire, Swift also mentioned several charities in her post. These relief programs include the California Community Foundation Fund, Greater Los Angeles Education Relief, Habitat for Humanity, MusiCares and others.

Several other celebrities are also joining in to do their bit. Reportedly, Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Stevie Nicks, Gwen Stefani and more are set to perform at the LA FireAid Concert later this month.
