Rahul Vaidya, who participated in reality shows like Indian Idol, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi and Bigg Boss, was also a part of Colors TV’s Laughter Chefs Unlimited Entertainment in 2024. This year, he made a comeback to the cooking reality show, teaming up with television actress Rubina Dilaik as his on-screen partner. Season two premiered on January 25, promising a delightful mix of humour and culinary creativity. In a candid conversation, Rahul Vaidya shared intriguing anecdotes from his experience on the show.

In an interview with India Forums, Rahul Vaidya, who returns with the new season of Colors TV’s Laughter Chefs, shared how the show will become an entertaining battleground for celebrities. He highlighted the fresh elements that set this season apart from the previous one while clarifying that the show isn’t about culinary expertise.

“It’s not about who can whip up the finest dishes,” he explained. “It’s about the crackling chemistry among the laughter chefs, their hilarious mishaps, and unexpected culinary wins that keep the entertainment piping hot.” He further added, “We’re sticking to the heart of what makes this show a hit—simplicity, fun, and those unfiltered kitchen blunders that have you laughing out loud!”

In the same conversation, Rahul then talked about his pairing on the show with his co-contestant Rubina Dilaik and admitted that they have a Tom and Jerry kind of bond. He explained, “I’m thrilled! Although I must admit, I’ve shed a few kilos ever since we started cooking together. Rubina’s like a no-nonsense headmistress – disciplined, sharp, and precise.” He also poked fun at the actress using difficult Hindi words, as evident in a promo from one of the previous episodes.

“Many people have assumed that Rubina and I are rivals; we’re not. Just because I didn’t get along with Rubina on Bigg Boss 15 doesn’t mean that I’ll resent her for the rest of my life. I think life is short and uncertain. It’s best to make amends and move on,” he also addressed the negative rumour spread in the social media about his and Rubina’s friendship.

Further, Rahul revealed that he missed his cooking partner Aly Goni from the previous season, saying, “The energy we had was unmatched.” Rahul was also asked if he treats his wife with something cooked by him. Answering this, he immediately denied and mentioned, “By the time I’m home, I have no energy to cook anything.”

The delightful mix of contestants on the show are Vicky Jain and Ankita Lokhande, Sudesh Lehri and Mannara Chopra, Abdu Rozik and Elvish Yadav, Krushna Abhishek and Kashmera Shah, and Abhishek Kumar and Samarth Jurel. The show is judged by celebrity chef coach Harpal Singh Sokhi and hosted by Bharti Singh, adding a sense of humour.
