Nicole Scherzinger is showing fans what goes on behind the glamour.

The 48-year-old Pussycat Dolls singer led a new Instagram carousel with a polished backstage selfie, posing with her long dark hair styled in voluminous waves, glamorous makeup and her toned abs on display in a black sports bra and gray sweatpants.

But the next image told a very different story.

Scherzinger shared a close-up of her injured leg, revealing extensive red marks and healing burns stretching across the area around her knee and down her leg.

The injury dates back to the Pussycat Dolls’ Sept. 26 performance in Düsseldorf, Germany, when Scherzinger said boiling water fell on her leg approximately one hour before she was scheduled to take the stage.

Despite suffering burns and blisters, Scherzinger went ahead with the performance.

“Nothing like boiling water falling on your leg an hour before your set,” she wrote on Instagram Stories at the time. “But the show must go on.”

The singer’s latest photos gave followers another look at the aftermath, contrasting the carefully put-together image audiences see backstage with the physical toll she has been managing behind the scenes.

Fans quickly praised Scherzinger for continuing to perform through the injury.

“How you continued to put on a show even after that! Incredible,” one person wrote.

“You are truly the meaning of warrior Nicole Scherzinger,” another commented.

Singer Gloria Gaynor also offered encouragement, writing, “you are a warrior, @nicolescherzinger!”

Another follower called the injuries her “Battle scars.”

Scherzinger has continued performing with the Pussycat Dolls throughout their “PCD Forever” tour, including a stop at Dublin’s 3Arena on Oct. 5.

The current lineup features Scherzinger alongside Ashley Roberts and Kimberly Wyatt, who have reunited as a trio for the tour.

In Dublin, Scherzinger returned to the stage roughly a week after the accident, performing alongside Roberts and Wyatt as the group continued its European and U.K. run.

The tour continues Oct. 7 in Glasgow before moving through Newcastle and Manchester, with an Oct. 13 stop scheduled at London’s O2 Arena.

Scherzinger’s injury has been one of several challenges surrounding the group’s latest reunion.

The “PCD Forever” tour marks the Pussycat Dolls’ return to major arenas, but only three members of the group’s best-known lineup are participating. Jessica Sutta, Carmit Bachar and Melody Thornton are not part of the current tour.

Sutta addressed the reunion in an exclusive video published on The Sun Tuesday, making clear that she has no interest in returning to her former role within the group.

“I’m not going to lip sync ‘Don’t Cha’ behind Nicole ever again,” Sutta said in the clip.

Sutta said being left out of the reunion initially “broke my heart,” though she also praised Scherzinger, Roberts and Wyatt for their performances.

“I will say they need Carmit and Melody back as I think it’s better as a five,” Sutta told the outlet. “But those three girls are killing it.”

Sutta is currently focused on her solo career, with her new single, “Don’t Take Much,” set to be released Oct. 7.
