A video has gone viral showing a British Muslim scholar calling for strict and “humiliating” laws for non-Muslims and converting them to make Britain a Muslim state, prompting a reaction from tech billionaire Elon Musk, a key ally of US President Donald Trump.

In the video shared by Ian Miles Cheong, Islamic scholar Abu Waleed is heard asking, “Equality to all of its members – is there such a thing in Islam? Is there equality of faith? Np Sunni Muslim can argue against Sahih Muslim or Sahih Bukhari.”

He quoted some lines from ancient Islamic texts, he seemed to compare Christians with kaafirs (infidels) and cited inequality prevalent among different sects of Islam.

“Everyone is going to become Muslim. That, my dear brothers, is the Islamic State,” he was heard saying. The post was shared by Cheong with the caption, “British religious scholar Abu Waleed says it’s necessary to impose humiliating laws for non-Muslims in Britain and convert them.”

The post garnered over 25,000 likes, 12,000 reposts and 8,200 comments in less than 24 hours, with many netizens criticising Waleed’s remarks. Elon Musk responded to the video with only two question marks.

This is not the first time Musk has weighed in British politics, specifically the growing dominance of Muslims in the country. Even Vice President JD Vance has called the UK the first “Islamic country” in the West.

Elon Musk Vs Keir Starmer On ‘Pakistani Grooming Gangs’

Musk recently took on UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer over the “Pakistani grooming gangs”, who have sexually abused thousands of young girls over the years. Musk accused Starmer of being “deeply complicit in the mass rapes” in order to win votes.

In his X posts, Musk said Starmer didn’t do anything about the grooming gangs scandal while being the head of the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) between 2008 and 2013. Musk’s tirade prompted some opposition politicians in the UK to join the criticism and call for a national probe.

As per reports, these “gangs” consisting of men mainly of Pakistani descent, operated by befriending underage victims, often using alcohol, substances, and gifts to manipulate them. In most cases, the victims are vulnerable children living under state care or in broken homes.

A secret police document claimed that at least 1,400 children over a decade and a half had been systematically abused by Pakistani men. Some of the victims were as young as 11, and suffered rape and trafficking.

An enraged Starmer slammed Musk by slamming those “spreading lies”. “Those that are spreading lies and misinformation as far and as wide as possible, they’re not interested in victims, they’re interested in themselves,” Starmer said earlier, without naming Musk.
