She was once a regular face among the biggest party girls of the ’90s having been associated with the like of Kate Moss, Meg Matthews and Davinia Taylor.

But now, some 30 years later, Sadie Frost, 59, has ditched the dresses and dancefloor for leggings and fitness, rebranding herself as a yoga-teaching film director.

The actress and former socialite, who is a mother of four and grandmother to one, not only had A-lister party pals but she was also married to British heartthrob, Jude Law and Spandau Ballet guitarist Gary Kemp.

Reflecting on her partying days in a new interview, Sadie has revealed the hedonistic lifestyle also had an impact on her health as she went onto suffer from both anxiety and asthma.

She has now credited yoga with helping her manage her anxiety and panic attacks, which she attributes in part to her childhood lung disease, Bronchiectasis.

She told OK Magazine of her changing friendships: ‘Before, I would operate in a group, a clan, a crew. I still have some very healthy friendships, but I actually enjoy my own time, too.’

‘I’ve always struggled with certain breathing situations because I had asthma and that caused anxiety’, she added.

‘So for me, yoga, meditation, diet and breathing have always been really important because if I’m out of balance or out of sync, not connected to myself and to my breath, I’m going to be a very unbalanced, unhappy person.’

She then went on to reveal that she has gained a group of ‘yogi friends’ and still has a very close bond with her long-term best friends like Zoe Grace, Frances Ruffelle and Rosemary Ferguson.

Sadie made her big-screen debut in Empire State in 1987, but it was her role as Lucy Westenra in Francis Ford Coppola’s Bram Stoker’s Dracula four years later that made her a household name.

Throughout the 1990s, she also appeared in several music videos, including Pulp’s Common People.

Living in north London at the time, she became a key figure in the party-loving Primrose Hill set, alongside Donna Air, the Gallagher brothers, Jude Law, Patsy Kensit, and Jonny Lee Miller.

In recent years, her focus has shifted from the social scene to her deep commitment to yoga, regularly traveling to India to further her knowledge of the Jivamukti method.

Sadie is currently celebrating major success as the director of the critically acclaimed documentary film Twiggy, which explores the life and career of British icon Dame Twiggy Lawson.

She has worked hard for this achievement but she has credited her approach to health and wellness for allowing her to truly enjoy it.

Alongside her professional accomplishments, she is also embracing her role as a grandmother to her first grandchild, Daya Wildrose Mallory Kemp, the daughter of her eldest son Finlay and his wife Charlotte Mallory.

The mother-of-four also shares three children with ex Jude their son Rafferty, 28, daughter Iris, 24 and youngest Rudy, 22.

She also was in an on-off relationship with businessman Darren Strowger for eight years, before Sadie confirmed she was single in an interview last year.
