The Celtics are coming to Detroit to take on the Pistons. Boston is looking to return to glory, just a few years removed from a championship. Detroit is a few years removed from being one of the worst teams in the league, but they’ve found themselves with a competitive team that tries hard.
Let’s look at the career stats of both of their team’s superstars and how they stack up against each other:
| Per Game Stats | Points | Rebounds | Assists | Blocks | Steals |
| Jayson Tatum | 23.5 | 7.4 | 3.9 | 0.6 | 1.1 |
| Cade Cunningham | 22.5 | 5.4 | 8.0 | 0.7 | 1.1 |
76ers vs Knicks | Tuesday, Oct 20, 2026 at 7:00 pm ET | Madison Square Garden, New York, NY | NBC/Peacock
We have two unveilings tonight. We see the Knicks unveil their championship banner, and we also see the 76ers unveil their new roster. New York will be rocking, raising their banner to the rafters. However, they are doing it in front of a team that lost to them in the postseason last year. The 76ers are one of this year’s favorites to dethrone the Knicks.
New York is essentially running back their championship roster. The 76ers made two big additions in the offseason: LeBron James and Jaylen Brown. Those two, coupled with Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey (and even VJ Edgecombe), could provide an unstoppable big four. We could see a preview of potentially the Eastern Conference Finals if things align.
76ers Starting Lineup

- VJ Edgecombe, SG
- Jaylen Brown, SF
- LeBron James, PF
- Joel Embiid, C
