Passengers aged 18 to 26 can cruise for FREE with Virgin Voyages this summer (but there’s a catch…)

If you’re lucky enough to be over 18 and under the age of 26 you could sail for free with Virgin Voyages.

But, there’s a catch. You must be travelling with your parents.

Young adults can enjoy a free holiday with the cruise line as long as they are accompanied by their parents, guardians or caregivers.

Virgin Voyages is marketing the promotion as ‘kids go free’.

While the cruise line is strictly adults only, it’s changing its definition of ‘kids’ to young adults aged 18 to 26.

Virgin Voyages said in a statement: ‘”If you’re old enough to vote, you’re old enough to sail” was the thinking that inspired Virgin Voyages’ (cheeky) definition of “children”.

‘As a brand celebrated for its adults-only atmosphere, the company is changing its tune and answering the call of its sailors to bring their (adult) children on board.

‘Whether your (not so) little ones are about to graduate, head off to college or be bumped from their current health insurance, there’s truly no better way for parents to celebrate with their grown-up kids than aboard Virgin Voyages’ award-winning fleet.’

Virgin Voyages will offer activities ‘designed for kids of all ages’ on board that are ‘anything but the average vacation kids club’.

Guests can enjoy making beaded bracelets, playing dodgeball or dancing in the pool during its famous ‘Scarlet Night’ – a ship-wide soirée where guests are encouraged to dress in red.

There are also ‘family-friendly’ shoreside activities including wine tasting in Italy, cooking in the Mediterranean or swimming with sharks in Bimini.

Virgin Voyages’ website adds: ‘[The promotion is] only applicable with a second sailor in the cabin.

‘If a third and fourth sailor are added to the cabin, they will pay the full prevailing cabin price.’

And, it only applies to the following cabin types: Central Sea Terrace, Sea Terrace, Limited View Sea Terrace, Sea View and Insider.

The deal is available for a limited time only and must be booked by August 23.
