President Donald Trump is set to meet Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney in the Oval Office on Tuesday.
The potentially explosive meeting come as the relationship between the U.S. and its neighbor has been undermined by the president’s tariffs and talk of annexing Canada as the ’51st state.’
Carney’s Liberal Party won an April 28 election on the back of promises to tackle Trump.
Canada is the U.S.’s second-largest individual trading partner after Mexico, and the largest export market for U.S. goods.
