Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has the opportunity to lift his first piece of silverware with the Mancunian club as they are slated to take on fellow Premier League side Tottenham in the final of the UEFA Europa League.
United, who are languishing in the 15th spot in the English top-flight this season, can secure a coveted UEFA Champions League berth for the next season with a win over fellow PL strugglers Spurs, but Amorim called on his men to focus on their upcoming Premier League assignment against Chelsea in the lead up to the cup final.
Amorim, who has just six wins in 25 PL outings this season, urged his players to take the game to fifth-placed Chelsea in order to build momentum ahead of the UEL summit clash.

“We cannot spend eight days, nine days without a game. That is a bad thing for the final,” Amorim said.
“The best way is to face the game like we should face the game — it is to win the game,” the Portuguese added.
“We need to perform, we need to win points in the Premier League and that is the feeling,” he said.
“The players have to understand that if you play or don’t play against Chelsea, it means nothing to the final. That is important,” the 40-year-old opined.
“I am just preparing the game of Chelsea. That is my focus and we want to win and to perform,” he concluded.
