Chilling new photo reveals depth of Bill Gates’s friendship with Jeffrey Epstein

Jeffrey Epstein kept a telling memento from Bill Gates displayed in his New York City home, a new photo has revealed.

Among photographs with some of the world’s most powerful men, Epstein had a framed dollar bill signed by the Microsoft co-founder in the living room of his Manhattan townhouse.

‘I was wrong!’ Gates wrote on the bill, above George Washington’s face, suggesting it was payment for a bet, as noted by The New York Times.

The dollar bill, placed on a credenza, is surrounded by photos of Epstein with Pope John Paul II, Fidel Castro, Elon Musk, Bill Clinton and President Donald Trump, among others.

The display of images included a widely-circulated photo of Epstein with Donald and Melania Trump, but with Epstein’s fixer Ghislaine Maxwell cut out.

Daily Mail has reached out to the Gates Foundation for comment.

Gates and Epstein met on multiple occasions beginning in 2011, including at least three times at the financier’s Manhattan townhouse, the biggest in the city.

‘His lifestyle is very different and kind of intriguing although it would not work for me,’ Gates wrote in a 2011 email, as reported by The New York Times.

Gates has said he deeply regrets spending time with the pedophile, who was found dead in his jail cell while awaiting trial for sex trafficking in 2019.

‘Gates recognizes that entertaining Epstein’s ideas related to philanthropy gave Epstein an undeserved platform that was at odds with Gates’s personal values and the values of his foundation,’ a Gates spokeswoman told the Times in 2021.

The billionaire has never been accused of wrongdoing in relation to Epstein.

But Gates’ ex-wife Melinda Gates has shared the friendship was a factor in her pushing for divorce.

‘I did not like that he had meetings with Jeffrey Epstein,’ she told CBS’s Gayle King.

‘I made that clear to him. I also met Jeffrey Epstein exactly one time. I wanted to see who this man was and I regretted it from the second I stepped in the door.

‘He was abhorrent, evil personified. I had nightmares about it afterwards. That’s why my heart breaks for these young women. That’s how I felt, and I am an older woman. He was awful.’

Gates has said in the past that meeting with Epstein multiple times was a ‘huge’ mistake and error in judgement.

In a statement to CBS, he said: ‘Meeting with Epstein was a mistake that I regret deeply. It was a substantial error in judgement.’

The new images taken inside Epstein’s home were published amid the fallout from the decision by the Justice Department to not release all the files related to the probe into the pedophile’s crimes.

As previously reported, Trump was informed months ago by Attorney General Pam Bondi that his name appeared ‘multiple times’ in the Epstein files.

Bondi recommended in that same meeting, according to the Wall Street Journal, that the administration not release more files because they contained child pornography and personal information for victims.

Trump, the sources claim, deferred to his attorney general on whether to make additional files public.

Despite being named in the files, Trump is not implicated in any wrongdoing or connected to Epstein’s child sex trafficking crimes.

Administration officials told the Wall Street Journal that Bondi’s May meeting with Trump was a routine briefing covering a number of topics – and the Epstein files weren’t the focus.

Bondi has drawn ire and confusion from the MAGA base over the files.

In February, Bondi said on Fox News that she had the Epstein ‘client list’ sitting on her desk ready for review.

But she then backtracked, saying there was no list, further angering Trump’s base of supporters.
