There is a lot of craze for the sale of Khatushyamji and Radhe-Krishna rakhis.

In the areas around Badi Chaupar in Jaipur, 100 to 200 types of different good-looking rakhis are available on a wholesale basis in the shops.

In the month of Shravan, there are a lot of religious programs in Shiva temples. On the other hand, the markets are bustling with shops selling Rakhis. This time the festival of Raksha Bandhan will be celebrated on 19th August. The special thing is that this time there is a lot of craze for the sale of Khatushyamji and Radhe-Krishna Rakhis. Along with this, there is also a lot of demand for Rakhis from Delhi and Kolkata.

In the areas around Badi Chaupar, also known as Manak Chowk, in Jaipur, 100 to 200 types of unique and good-looking rakhis are available wholesale in the shops. Rakhi seller Rohit Awasthi said that rakhis from Rs 1 to Rs 500 are available in the market. This time rakhis of Lord Shiva, Ganeshji and Radhe-Krishna are available in different designs. But the highest demand is for rakhis with Khatushyamji designs, which are being sold for Rs 50 to Rs 400. Cartoon rakhis are also available in the market for children, which have toys tied along with the rakhi.

Post offices have started sending Rakhis through waterproof envelopes:

To brothers and sisters living in far-flung areas, for the first time, rakhis are being sent in a special type of box from the post office. According to the Postal Department, a small Rakhi envelope is available for Rs. 10, a big one for Rs. 15 and a special box for Rs. 30. In addition to the Rakhi envelope and Rakhi box, the ordinary postal charge is just Rs. 5 per 20 grams, registry charge is Rs. 21 and speed post and parcel can also be done by paying an additional charge. The parcel charge is just Rs.19 per 500 grams.

A few days ago, the Postmaster General of the North Gujarat Region, Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav, said that colourful designer Rakhi envelopes are being made available through post offices for sending Rakhi. These special Rakhi envelopes will be available for sale at Ahmedabad GPO, Navrangpura HPO and Revadi Bazaar Head Post Offices in Ahmedabad, as well as Head Post Offices and selected Sub Post offices of Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Mahesana, Aravalli, Sabarkantha, Banaskantha and Patan districts under North Gujarat.

Postmaster General Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav said that these designer Rakhi envelopes are sized 11 cm x 22 cm. The cost of the envelope is only Rs 10, exclusive of postage charges. Rakhi envelope is designed with the India Post logo and Raksha Bandhan image. He added that due to the specific design, will help in saving time in sorting them from other mail and also in getting them delivered before the Raksha Bandhan festival.
