Bigg Boss season 18 is continuing to keep the audiences on the edge of their seats with its dramatic twists and turns, and unexpected shockers in the house. Staying true to its format, the controversial reality show is providing ample entertainment for viewers in each episode. The confined space of the Bigg Boss house has also witnessed the contestants opening up about their personal lives, revealing their vulnerabilities and secrets to the viewers.
From heartfelt confessions to shocking revelations, these intimate glimpses into the contestants’ lives connect the viewers more to the reality show. In the recent episode, contestant Alice Kaushik opened up that she was unaware of her father’s death. During a conversation with Nyrra Banerji, the Pandya Store actress revealed that her parents had a strained relationship and would have intense fights on a daily basis.
As the clip progressed, the Bigg Boss 18 contestant revealed that despite her father’s violent nature, she had a good bond with him because she thought that he understood her more than her mother did. When Nyrra asked Alice if her father was violent with her too, she nodded to affirm.
Elaborating further, she said that the fights between her parents led to their separation, and she went to live with her mother. Then, she recalled the horrific day when she tried to reach out to her dad after 2-3 years. She went on to say that one fine day, her mother asked her to call her father to check on him. After several tries, a stranger who was a policeman answered the call. She constantly asked the person to hand over the phone to her father, when the person eventually informed her of her father’s suicide.
The actress then shared that this news left her feeling numb and devastated. Unable to believe what she heard, she reconfirmed, and the policeman sent her a photo confirming the news. “Phir unhone mujhe wo photo WhatsApp par bhej di aur wo photo kahi saalo Tak Meri aakho ke samne se nahi Gayi (Then he sent me that photo on WhatsApp and that photo did not go out of my sight for many years),” Alice said with tears in her eyes.
Alice further recalled that when her father’s body was brought for last rites, the official handed her the rope. She said, “Unhone mujhe wo rope hath mein de di aur kaha, isse kiya tha. I don’t know why he did that or why he handed over that rope to me. Maybe he did not have any feelings or emotions.”
The Pishachini actress consoled Alice and asked about her relationship with her mother. In response, the Pandya Store fame explained that her mother was already married to someone else during her father’s last rites and was not present for the rituals. She also shared how her stepdad somehow influenced and drove her mother away from her, causing them to become distant.
