DK Metcalf is a big conspiracy theorist: ‘I think there is another civilization inside of Earth’
DK Metcalf and his quarterback Aaron Rodgers have a connection on and off the field. The Pittsburgh Steelers teammates have apparently been doing a little bonding over conspiracy theories.
The wide receiver revealed in a recent interview with The Athletic that he believes there’s another civilization operating inside the Earth. He points to not being able to book a trip to Antarctica as evidence.

I’m in the same boat as you are at this point. I need to brush up on my conspiracy theories too. I had no idea about this one, which is some sort of version of the Hollow Earth theory.

Again, all new to me. I’m more into aliens, Bigfoot, and the moon landing. Experts will tell you that the Hollow Earth theory has been debunked, but let’s hear DK out and see where he goes with it.
Who knows? He could be on to something.

How does anyone access this other civilization? In Antarctica. That’s why you can’t book a trip there, according to DK.

“You can go to Alaska. You could go to the North Pole,” he said. “But why not Antarctica? Why can’t you just book a trip to Antarctica?”
The Athletic pointed out that you can technically book a trip there and that Antarctica tourism takes place between November and March, mostly on ships.
Although, they conceded that there aren’t any commercial airports and the non-commercial flights are controlled by governments.

“Why is there a secret meeting — well, it’s not secret,” DK added, “but why is there a meeting between every world leader of every country in Antarctica, specifically?”

Great question and one they didn’t have a great answer for, if you ask me. They simply pointed out that there was “no verifiable evidence of such meetings” and they wouldn’t expect there to be even if there were these types of meetings.
They also admitted that Antarctica does have “distinguished visitors” from time to time. Now before you go putting the blame on Aaron Rodgers for getting DK into conspiracies, it’s not the future Hall of Famer’s fault.

“Nah, I’ve been on it,” DK admitted. “But it just so happened that we can bond over it.”
It’s probably been said before, but I’ll go ahead and say it again. Who is breaking a Hollow Earth theory bond? It’s not going to be broken by any NFL defense, I can tell you that.
I can also tell you that I’m going to need to hear more about this Hollow Earth theory before I take a side.
