Employees at a monkey park have been left bewildered after a visitor to the attraction took to TripAdvisor to complain that it featured too many monkeys.
The bizarre review of Trentham Monkey Forest in Tittensor, Staffordshire, caused hysterics when it was shared on social media this week.
The reviewer, going only by Stephan, moaned that the admission price was too steep, on the basis that the park ‘primarily featured monkeys’.

The review, which included a star rating of just three out of five, read: ‘The park is pleasant, and the overall experience is decent.
‘However it primarily features monkeys, which makes the price seem too high in our opinion.’
A bewildered member of staff responded to Stephan’s bizarre review, writing: ‘Hello, the park primarily features monkeys as we’re a monkey forest?
‘We’re unsure how to answer this bit of feedback, sorry.’
Trentham Monkey Forest is a woodland experience where visitors can see 140 endangered Barbary macaque monkeys living freely in the wild, with no cages or enclosures.

Stephan’s bizarre complaint was shared to social media, with the caption: ‘Too many monkeys.’
It has since received over 9,700 likes and more than 80 comments from Brits left in stitches by Stephan’s apparent cluelessness.
One wrote: ‘I used to work at the monkey forest and I can confirm it is wall-to-wall monkeys.’
A second said: ‘This is someone monkeying around.’
High street opticians Specsavers commented: ‘Stand down Monkey Forest, this is one for us.’
A fourth wrote: ‘I can’t stop laughing at this. I love justified corporate snark. The PR’s revenge.’
Another quipped: ‘I guess they were expecting to pay peanuts.’
