Roxy Jacenko says Stephanie Rice was ‘the worst thing’ about Celebrity Apprentice as she reignites feud 11 years on: ‘She was just rude’

PR Queen Roxy Jacenko has reignited her feud with Olympic swimmer Stephanie Rice, 11 years after the pair first traded barbs.

The pair’s war of words commenced back in 2013 when they were both contestants on the Nine reality series Celebrity Apprentice Australia.

Roxy, 44, appeared to take issue with Stephanie’s, 36, perceived lack of effort when assisting Roxy with tasks on the reality series.

And speaking with Jane Lu on her The Lazy CEO podcast, it appears Roxy’s heart has not softened when it comes to the Olympic champion.

Roxy pulled no punches when Jane asked her what she disliked most in her time on Celebrity Apprentice Australia.

‘F***ing Stephanie Rice,’ Roxy spat.

Qualifying her outburst, Roxy labelled Stephanie as ‘rude,’ likening her behavior on the show to a belligerent diner in a restaurant.

‘She was just rude. I have a real problem with people who are rude to other people,’ Roxy said.

‘You know when you’re in a restaurant and someone speaks with rudeness to the staff who are working in the venue?’

Continuing the spray, Roxy claimed that Stephanie had treated crew on the show in a less-than-stellar fashion.

‘I’ve got a real problem with that. Treat everyone with respect,’ Roxy continued.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Stephanie Rice for comment.

In November 2014, Roxy insisted on the Kyle and Jackie O Show that she would not be repairing her relationship with Stephanie, following a series of spats on the program.

‘I won’t be mending it,’ she stated, before adding that, ‘without question Stephanie Rice was one of the rudest and laziest people I have ever met.’

Speaking about the feud in 2018, Stephanie told the Sydney Morning Herald it was all water under the bridge and that she bore Roxy no ill will.

‘It doesn’t impact my life in any way,’ she told the publication. ‘For me, and it doesn’t matter who the person is, if you hold on to grudges or negative experiences, you don’t allow yourself to move on.’

Stephanie added that while she assumed part responsibility for the tension, she never considered it to be an issue.

‘I don’t have anything against her. I don’t see a problem, in my eyes anyway.’

She continued: ‘It takes two to tango. I assume responsibility for being a 50 per cent contributor to what was potentially going on. I didn’t think it was a big problem, but maybe to her it was.’

Elsewhere in Roxy’s podcast appearance, she revealed the reasons why she pursued work outside of the PR realm, in television and on the page.

Aside from Celebrity Apprentice, Roxy has also starred in the 2020 season of SAS Australia as well as her pilot Channel Ten reality series I Am…Roxy in 2019.

She has also authored a number of books including 2018’s Roxy’s Little Black Book Of Tips and Tricks.

She said that her reasons for pursuing fame were quite pragmatic.

‘I always just wanted to make money,’ she said.

‘I did all of those things to be that one girl that everyone remembered. But the one girl that everyone remembered for actually having a job.

‘Not for having my legs behind my ears and having a sex tape, for having a job and being successful at my job.’
