The ESPN Monday Night Countdown crew played an important role in a couple’s gender reveal this week.
Ahead of the Baltimore Raven’s Week 12 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers Monday, Jason Kelce and co. were handed the honor of revealing the gender of a couple’s unborn child to them from inside SoFi Stadium.
Two Ravens fans caught the attention of the ESPN panel by holding up signs asking the analysts to participate in their gender reveal.
‘We’re pregnant with the next Ravens fan’ and ‘Tell us if it’s a boy or girl,’ read the homemade posters.
‘This just happened organically,’ revealed host Scott Van Pelt. ‘…They have given us the reveal. They don’t know what they’re having. I’ve never been this nervous on television.’
‘This is awesome,’ said Kelce.

Van Pelt then discreetly opened the envelope and read the result under the table before passing it down the line for his colleagues to take a peak.
The crew, rounded out by Ryan Clark and Marcus Spears, then yelled in sync: ‘It’s a boy!’
‘For everybody at home, literally this was not planned,’ said Spears. ‘They were standing there with a sign and they wanted us to do a gender reveal… and we did it!’
The parents-to-be were elated, embracing each other with massive beams on their faces while their fellow fans celebrated the news around them.
It has been a week of pregnancy reveals for Kelce who announced he and his wife Kylie were expecting their fourth child together last Friday.
Kylie, who has been married to the NFL legend since 2018, broke the news in an adorable Instagram post, sharing a photo of their three daughters – Wyatt, Elliotte, and Bennett – all wearing sweaters that say ‘Big Sister’ on them.
‘I feel like we captured a very accurate representation of how each of the girls feel about getting another sister. At least Ellie, mom and dad are on the same page!,’ Kylie wrote in the caption alongside a hilarious photo of her trio of girls.
In the photo, Wyatt (the oldest) looks shocked by the news while Bennett (the youngest) is crying.
Meanwhile, Elliotte (the middle child), is seen smiling after hearing the news from her parents.
They welcomed Wyatt in October of 2019, Elliotte in March of 2021, and Bennett in February of 2023 – just weeks after Jason lost to his brother, Travis Kelce, in Super Bowl LVII.
