NFL fans are all saying the same thing about Lainey Wilson’s halftime show at Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving game

Lainey Wilson sent NFL fans wild as she delivered a Thanksgiving treat during halftime of the Dallas Cowboys’ game Thursday.

The country music star performed the halftime show at AT&T Stadium as the Cowboys continued their Thanksgiving tradition with a divisional rivalry showdown against the New York Giants.

The singer-songwriter stunned in an all-white outfit, complete with a white cowboy hat alongside the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.

After sauntering onto the field in Arlington, Texas to open the show with her hit, ‘Heart Like A Truck,’ she enlisted the help of Jelly Roll to perform their duet, ‘Save Me.’

The star-studded performance caught the attention of NFL fans, with many calling for a repeat – at this year’s Super Bowl.

‘Cancel the current Super Bowl halftime show, and book Lainey, Now,’ one fan shared to X, formerly known as Twitter.

Another echoed the sentiment, posting: ‘Next Stop? A Super Bowl!’

‘Wow. @laineywilson just killing halftime. And oh my. @JellyRoll615 This is better than most Super Bowl shows. And don’t @ me,’ a third chimed in.

A fourth added: ‘This halftime show of the Cowboys and Giants football game with Lainey Wilson is Superbowl halftime-worthy. Great job with Jelly Roll!’

The NFL already announced back in September that Kendrick Lamar will be providing the entertainment at halftime of the big game in New Orleans in February.

However, Wilson could have a shot at the Super Bowl spotlight in the future as the rave reviews for her halftime performance continued to roll in.

‘Lainey Wilson was the best Thanksgiving halftime show of this generation,’ one fan raved.

Another event wrote out a full review, hailing the performance as they said: ‘Lainey did a smashing performance, timing with the cheerleaders who had perfect choreography, with the country star. Loved when Lainey threw her jacket off to put pizzazz to the song. Jelly Roll was great with Lainey as he always is & was the dessert to the wonderful entree.’

‘I just gotta say @laineywilson f***ing COOKED that #Thanksgiving halftime show,’ a third posted.

‘After tonight I am officially a Lainey Wilson fan,’ a fourth said, while another claimed, ‘Well , that’s the first NFL halftime show that’s kept me entertained in years! Lainey Wilson.’

Another issued a message to the league, posting: ‘Dear @NFL That how you do a halftime show!!! Classy and entertaining! Way to go @laineywilson!!!’

A couple took the chance to take a swipe at the Cowboys’ miserable 5-7 season, with one writing, ‘Prob the best performance I’ve seen the cowboys have in awhile tbh,’ while another added, ‘Dallas Cowboys may not play football like Detroit but the halftime show in Dallas was off the charts!! Lainey Wilson brought down the house!!’

Others also had praise for Wilson’s partnership with the iconic Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, who garnered even more notoriety earlier this year thanks to Netflix’s series.

‘Lainey Wilson and the Cowboys cheerleaders is exactly what America needed #WeAreBack,; one user posted.

‘So @laineywilson and the @dallascowboys cheerleaders is the combo we never knew we needed,’ another wrote.

Following Wilson’s halftime performance, the action continued on the field as the Giants’ disastrous season plumbed new depths, becoming the first NFL team officially eliminated from playoff contention.

Brian Daboll’s sorry side were condemned to their seventh straight defeat by the Dallas Cowboys , who compounded their misery after running out 27-20 winners at AT&T Stadium.
