What’s the Free Update Deadline?
The UIDAI has set June 14, 2025, as the last date to upload supporting documents for free Aadhaar updates. This free update facility is available only through the myAadhaar portal.
What Happens After the Deadline?
If you upload your documents after June 14, 2025, you’ll have to pay ₹50. The same fee applies for document updates done physically.

How to Update Aadhaar Details Online for Free?
Follow these steps to update your Aadhaar details online before the deadline:
- Visit myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in and log in with your Aadhaar number and the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
- Review your identity and address details displayed in your profile.
- If your details are correct, click on the ‘I verify that the above details are correct’ tab.
- From the drop-down menu, select the identity document you want to submit.
- Upload your identity document (file size less than 2 MB; JPEG, PNG, or PDF format).
- Select the address document you want to submit.
- Upload your address document (file size less than 2 MB; JPEG, PNG, or PDF format).
- Submit your consent.
Once submitted, your update request will be processed, and you can download the acknowledgement receipt for your records.
