Aaron Rodgers details the unseen moments after he tore his Achilles last year in new Netflix documentary: ‘We just laid down a lot of prayers’

Aaron Rodgers has opened up about what happened when the cameras finally stopped shining on him after he tore his Achilles last year four snaps into being a New York Jet.

In a trailer for his new Netflix documentary entitled ‘Aaron Rodgers: Enigma’ , the 40-year-old quarterback was not pouty about his debut going as bad as anyone could have imagined.

Rodgers is seen flying on a private plane with himself and his surgeon to repair his torn Achilles, Neal ElAttrache, the only two speaking in the trailer.

‘Listen, I believe in the power of prayer and intention, and from the first night this happened, hours after that, I was surrounded by a bunch of really special people in my life, and we just laid down a lot of prayers,’ Rodgers said.

A shot of Rodgers’ rehabbed Achilles is also shown propped up on a woman’s leg.

The trailer begins with Rodgers showing off his football brain, talking about the percentages of certain routes when he throws the football.

He mentions what down every play is on, how long the distance to gain a first down is, and what receiver he is throwing to all factor into his decision.

ElAttrache then speaks up and makes mighty comparisons for Rodgers.

‘There’s a common thread with some of the greatest players that I’ve taken care of. Him, Kobe (Bryant), (Tom) Brady. They all have a belief in themselves, sometimes it’s a belief that their on body doesn’t follow the normal rules of anatomy or physics or biology,’ ElAttrache said.

‘That’s not always healthy, but if you can corral that a little bit, I think that can work in a positive way.’

Rodgers returns to the gridiron for his first game in a year tonight against the San Francisco 49ers.
