Jayam Ravi announced his divorce from Aarti earlier this month.
Aarti has shared a fresh statement amidst her divorce with Jayam Ravi. She mentioned that she has chosen to stay dignified and she hopes to have a private conversation on this matter.
Jayam Ravi shocked his fans when he announced that he would be parting ways with his wife, Aarti, earlier this month. He did not reveal the reason behind this decision. Amidst this, Aarti took to social media to share that the divorce was announced without her “knowledge or consent.” She recently took to social media again to share a fresh statement and clarify the rumours surrounding her divorce.
Taking to her Instagram, Aarti shared a fresh statement where she shared her side of the story. She revealed that she was not informed by Jayam that he was going public with announcing their split. She wrote how she places her trust in the legal system and has chosen to “stay dignified.” She captioned her statement, “When they go low, we go high.” She said, “In light of the ongoing public commentary surrounding my personal life, I find it important to emphasize that my silence is not a sign of weakness or guilt. I’ve chosen to stay dignified and not respond to those trying to portray me in a bad light to conceal the truth, but I trust the legal system to bring justice.”

Aarti also mentioned how she has been denied a “private conversation” regarding her divorce. She said, “To be clear, my previous statement referred to the public announcement that was claimed to have been issued through mutual consent. I maintain that this came as a shock and was not a reference to the unilateral divorce that is underway. It’s unfortunate that my words were misinterpreted. I still hope for a private conversation on this matter which till date has been denied.”
Following the announcement of the split, the actor was linked to singer-spiritual healer Kenishaa Francis. However, Francis has denied the rumours. She said, “There are certain articles that say I am the reason behind his separation from his ex-wife. Those are false claims.” In an earlier interview, Jayam said that he was “forced” to make a public announcement as he alleged that Aarti had not responded to the legal notices that were sent to her.
The couple married in 2009 and they have two sons together.
