As tech billionaire Elon Musk’s feud with US President Donald Trump intensified, the Tesla boss created a new poll on his X platform, asking whether it was time to create a new political party in America.
In a drastic escalation of the public feud with Trump, Musk wrote, “Is it time to create a new political party in America that actually represents the 80% in the middle?”

The two high-profile leaders engaged in a public spat on Thursday after Musk publicly condemned Trump’s “big, beautiful bill”, denouncing it as a “disgusting abomination”.
Donald Trump made his first public remarks over Musk’s repeated criticism of the tax package, saying he was “very disappointed” and did not know if his friendship with the billionaire former advisor would survive.

“I’m very disappointed because Elon knew the inner workings of this bill better than almost anybody sitting here. He had no problem with it. All of a sudden he had a problem and he only developed the problem when he found out that we’re going to cut EV mandate, because that’s billions and billions of dollars and it really is unfair,” Trump said in the White House.
Musk fired back at Trump and rejected his claims that he was informed about the One Big Beautiful Bill in advance. “False, this bill was never shown to me even once and was passed in the dead of night so fast that almost no one in Congress could even read it!” he said.
Trump said he had helped Musk a lot and would have won the Pennsylvania election without the billionaire’s help. Firing back, Musk said, “Without me, Trump would have lost the election, Dems would control the House and the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate.” He later said, “Such ingratitude”.
Officially titled the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” the legislation builds upon Trump’s 2017 tax cuts while significantly boosting funding for the military and border security. However, it also proposes cuts to key social programs including Medicaid, food assistance, and other welfare schemes.
