Aimee Lou Wood has shared behind the scenes snaps with her The White Lotus co-star Walton Goggins after Monday’s shocking finale.

The pair played Chelsea and Rick, a couple on vacation at the Thailand resort who endured a tragic fate as they both died in the season three final.

Rick got into a shootout with two henchman after killing Jim Hollinger (Scott Glenn) – who he then learned was his father.

Chelsea was shot in the crossfire and then, as Rick carried her body away, he was shot dead by the resort’s security guard Gaitok (Tayme Thapthimthong).

Aimee was feeling sentimental after the final aired and shared a photo of her and Walton walking down a street together.

The actress captioned the snap: ‘The perfect storm’.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, she shared a behind the scenes snap taken of the couple kissing on the beach during filming.

Aimee is a native of Manchester and her natural accent comes through in the show, but that wasn’t always the case.

The actress revealed that series creator Mike White had initially envisioned the character as an American, and that she had never met her on-screen boyfriend Walton Goggins during the casting process since no chemistry tests were done.

Speaking on Late Night With Seth Meyers, she said: ‘Well I think they’ve been looking for Chelsea for a while. And Mike’s very instinctive with his casting.

‘He kind of just is all intuition. We don’t do chemistry tests. Like me and Walton had never met.’

Aimee added that ‘the ladies’ – referring to Jaclyn (Michelle Monaghan), Kate (Leslie Bibb) and Laurie (Carrie Coon), ‘had never met’ either before filming.

‘It’s all just he trusts that it’s going to work. And so they hadn’t found Chelsea yet. And I think everyone was doing the American accent,’ she said.

She added that, ‘talking about astrology as an American, it starts to feel quite L.A., and it was, like, scorpio. And then, they were like, do one American but do one in her own voice.

‘And I think there was something about it made it slightly more off-center and maybe a bit more individual when it was in a Manchester accent.’

The actress also revealed that she has been keeping the secret of who dies in the finale for two whole years now.

When asked if she’s going to be relieved that the secret will finally be out on Sunday night, she said it was, ‘so stressful.’

‘I found out when I was 29 years old. I’m 31 now. That’s how long I’ve been holding that secret, so I need it to be over now,’ Wood said.

She joked that, ‘I’ve got that thing like when you need the loo and you’re in the car and then you see you’ve made it the whole journey but then you see the front door and you think I can’t do the five more steps… that’s how I feel.’
