While speculations about the reason behind his absence have been swirling, Aly has made it clear that there’s no tension with his fellow contestants on the show.
Aly Goni recently posted a lively group photo on his Instagram that had fans buzzing with excitement. In the picture, Aly is all smiles, surrounded by his girlfriend Jasmin Bhasin and a few of his closest friends, including TV’s beloved power couple, Tejasswi Prakash and Karan Kundrra. The group had gathered to celebrate comedian Munawar Faruqui’s birthday on January 28, and it’s clear they had an unforgettable time together. “Yeh loooo (take it),” Aly added in the caption of his post.

Previously, Aly Goni was a standout presence in the hit cooking and comedy reality show Laughter Chefs, which combines humour and culinary challenges to entertain fans. As the new season of Laughter Chefs premiered on January 25, 2025, fresh faces like Vicky Jain and Mannara Chopra joined the lineup. However, long-time fans couldn’t help but notice the absence of some of the beloved stars from Season 1, including Aly.
Aly, along with Arjun Bijlani and Karan Kundrra, has been missed, and it’s not just the viewers who feel that way. His co-stars, like Rahul, have also expressed how much they miss his presence on set. When India Forums caught up with Aly to discuss why he wasn’t a part of this season, his answer was simple. “Even I am missing being there in the show. Seeing so many comments and tweets, I feel overwhelmed. I love that show; it’s very close to my heart,” he said.
So why exactly isn’t Aly cooking up some delicious dishes with his fellow contestants this time around? According to the actor, it was a decision made by the show’s makers. While he may not be physically on the show, his absence hasn’t gone unnoticed and his fans certainly wish they could see him take on the kitchen chaos once more. Aly’s first season appearance on Laughter Chefs was a hit and he became known for his unique cooking style.
