But more recently, it has become less about flashing finery as A-listers use the stage as a platform to take their kit off altogether.
On Sunday evening, Bianca Censori, 30, turned heads while attending the Grammys with her husband Kayne West, after she arrived in a completely see-through garment.
Bianca left little to the imagination with a completely transparent frock and not even a bra or pair of knickers to conceal her privates.
The model sparked a flurry of memes as gob smacked onlookers joked she had arrived at the wrong awards ceremony and had come dressed as an Oscar stauette – with others branding the look ‘disturbing’ and insisting she should’ve been removed from the event altogether.

After the daring display last night, it was reported that Kayne West and his wife, Bianca, were asked to leave the event after turning up uninvited, and escorted out by cops after their ‘crazy stunt.’ However another source said they ‘left of their own accord’ and the exact narrative remains unclear.
Music industry insiders were also questioning if West’s swift exit was down to his feud with Taylor Swift.
