Ankita Lokhande’s father died at the age 68 and was reportedly ill for a couple of months before his death.
Ankita Lokhande lost her father, Shashikant Lokhande, last year on August 12. The actress’ father passed away at the age 68 and was reportedly ill for a couple of months before his death. One year down the line, the actress remembered her late father on his death anniversary. She expressed how grateful she is of the time they had together. She also aimed to assure her father that she was there to support her mother and brother, Arpan.
Ankita shared a series of nostalgic pictures with her father. While there were some pictures from her childhood, others were from her wedding. In one of the pictures a young Ankita is seen on her father’s lap. While a couple of other stills feature Ankita posing with her parents. One casual click also features her husband, Vicky Jain.
She also penned a heartfelt note stating, “Today marks a tough anniversary – the day my beloved Papa left us. It’s been a year, but the memories and love we shared remain strong. I miss him dearly, but I’m grateful for the time we had together. Rest in peace, dear Papa. Your legacy lives on in my heart.”And Don’t worry, I’ve got Mamma and Arpan covered. I’ll be there to take care of them, support them, and shower them with love. They’re in good hands with me I promise paa ..I LOVE YOU MORE AND MORE AND MORE.”
Her followers were also quite emotional and sent in their condolences to the actress.
On the occasion of her parents’ wedding anniversary this year, Ankita Lokhande took a walk down memory lane. She sent a special “miss you” message for him on Instagram Stories and shared a throwback photo of her mother and father. The snapshot shows Ankita Lokhande’s parents sharing the same frame. They seemed joyful as they wrapped their arms around each other. She wrote, “Happy marriage anniversary, maa and paa. I miss you every moment of my life, and I miss the way you used to say, ‘I’m proud of you, bacche.’ Really, paa, don’t worry about Maa or Arpan (her brother). I promise I’m there. I love you, maa and paa.”
Ankita Lokhande was last seen in the film, Swatantra Veer Savarkar, which was based on the life of Indian freedom warrior and reformer Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. Currently, she is seen on the comedy reality show Laughter Chefs with her husband Vicky Jain.
