Ant McPartlin and his wife Anne-Marie looked every inch the loving couple as they frolicked in the sea during a winter getaway to Barbados.

The couple were seen larking around in the water in front of the five-star Fairmont Royal Pavilion hotel on the western coast of the Caribbean island, with Ant barely able to keep his hands off his wife.

Footage of the couple, taken by another hotel guest, showed them struggling to stand as waves broke against them.

Struggling to contain their laughter, Ant, 49, and Anne-Marie, 46, could be seen holding hands as they tried to stay upright in the water.

A second video showed Ant relaxing on his own in the water, wearing sunglasses and with cerulean blue water up to his shoulders.

Ant’s heavily tattooed torso was on full show in his peach-coloured swimming trunks, whilst Anne-Marie was dressed in a black and white swimsuit.

Suites at the opulent Fairmont Royal Pavilion – where a long list of celebs including Kylie Minogue and Justin Bieber have stayed – begin at $2298 (£1,862) per night after tax and offer breathtaking views out to the ocean.

It appears that the couple jetted to Barbados to celebrate the festive season, as they were spotted on the beach last month.

Just weeks earlier, the couple had returned to the UK after Ant and his presenting partner Declan Donnelly finished filmed I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!

Ant and Anne-Marie married in the summer of 2021 at the five-star Heckfield Place Hotel in Hampshire.

Their star-studded guest list included Frank and Christine Lampard, David Walliams and Phillip Schofield.

Ant is a devoted stepfather to his wife’s daughters who she shares with her ex-husband Scott Corbett.

The Geordie presenter even mentioned one of them during his I’m A Celeb aftershow, Jungle Club last month, and said: ‘It’s snowing in some parts of the UK as I spoke to my daughter in Newcastle and it’s snowing there, she’s making snowballs. It’s laid down that much.’

The presenter was previously married to Lisa Armstrong but the couple divorced after 12 years in 2018.

This year’s trip Down under was not the first for Anne-Marie who has joined the star in Australia for his I’m A Celeb hosting duties for a number of years having originally met him as his personal assistant in 2017.

In 2019, she even took her two daughter but Ant and Anne-Marie’s first trip as a married couple came in 2022 after they tied the knot a year earlier.

Last month Ant revealed he was nervous about being away from his son for the first time.

Despite hosting the series since it first launched in 2002, this year’s filming was slightly different for the star after he became a father for the first time back in May.

Before the start of the show, a source told OK! Magazine: ‘Ant is feeling really emotional about being so far away from Anne-Marie and Wilder. It’s the longest he has left them for and it’s going to be so difficult.

They added: ‘Anne-Marie and Ant are going to stay in constant communication and FaceTime lots, but he is worried about the time difference. When he wakes up, Anne Marie will have put Wilder to bed, so, it’s tough to navigate.

‘Ant has made sure Anne Marie has a strong support system back home and he knows Wilder will be safe with his mum, he will just be missing them a lot.’
