Apple plans to announce the other Mac products over the next few days, which more or less ends Apple’s Intel journey in the Mac universe. In addition to the iMac, the new accessories also adopt USB C for charging, which slowly ends the lightning connector era for the company as well.

Apple iMac M4 Features: It’s All USB C Now
The new iMac M4 gets a 24-inch 4.5K Retina display with the option of a nano-texture panel for additional cost. The M4 chipset allows Apple to upgrade the machine to 16GB as the base RAM, going up to 32GB and storage maxing out at 2TB. Even the M4 chip gets multiple CPU and GPU core variants, which costs extra money and with all the Apple Intelligence on board, you might need it.
The new Magic Mouse and Keyboard are finally upgrading to USB C ports, however, you still need to put the cable on the bottom side of the mouse, which has annoyed millions for years. Apple has offered a new 12MP centre stage wide camera for better video quality of meetings and the keyboard has the option of Touch ID for security with select variants. Apple claims to have added new colours for the M4 iMac but it is very hard to tell the difference in the shades compared to the previous version.
For connectivity, the M4 iMac gets up to four Thunderbolt 4 ports which supports high-speed data transfers and external display plugin. It also offers Wi-Fi 6E out of the box and Bluetooth 5.3 standard to pair it with varied accessories. The new macOS version gives you Apple Intelligence features from day one, but the older iMac models (M-series powered) also get it.
