Apple has quietly announced the new iPad Mini 7 tablet that will support the Apple Intelligence features thanks to the new hardware upgrades. Talking about the new iPad Mini, the 7 gen model is powered by one of the latest A-series chipset from the iPhone Pro models, and gets support for the latest Apple Pencil Pro version.

Apple iPad Mini 7 Features
The iPad Mini 7 looks like its predecessor and most of the upgrades happen inside. You get an 8.3-inch LED Liquid Retina display with anti-reflective coating and 500 nits of brightness. It is powered by the A17 Pro chipset that has a 16-core neural engine which will support the Apple Intelligence features later this year. You get a 12MP rear and a 12MP ultra wide front camera for FaceTime calls.
The iPad Mini 7 gets a Touch ID built into the power button for biometric security and doesn’t support Face ID. It has the USB C port for charging and the iPadOS 18 version will show its true value with the version 18.1 update coming out this month. Apple had talked about needing an M-series iPad model to run the AI features but the new update suggests the company is happy to make concessions in some cases.
