History is set to be made at Abu Dhabi, as the Leclerc brothers, Ferrari’s ace Charles and his younger brother Arthur are set to be the first brothers to take part in an F1 sessions as teammates.

Arthur Leclerc has been brought in as a replacement for Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

This marks the first time in F1 history that two brothers will take part in an official weekend session as team-mates.

Arthur spent the 2024 campaign racing in the LMP2 category of the European Le Mans Series, taking a win at Imola.

Last year, the 24-year-old raced in the Formula 2 championship and ended the season in 15th place with one podium finish to his name.

There is not much at stake for the drivers in F1 this year anymore since Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen already seasled his historic fourth-consecutive Championship last week in Las Vegas, but much is at stake for both Ferrari and McLaren as the Constructors’ Championship hangs in the balance.
