Arvind Kejriwal Resignation LIVE Updates: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers and its supremo Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday will take key decisions that could impact the party’s fortunes in New Delhi ahead of the elections next year.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will meet the lieutenant governor at 4:30 pm and is likely to tender his resignation and seek a “certificate of honesty” from people, which he will hope they give him in the form of an electoral victory come January 2025.

Days after being released from Tihar jail on bail in the excise policy case, the AAP national convenor said on Sunday that he would resign within 48 hours and sought early polls in Delhi. He vowed not to sit in the chief minister’s chair till people gave him a “certificate of honesty”.

Meanwhile, the AAP leaders will hold a legislative party meeting at 11:30 am to zero in on its pick for chief minister.

Names of Delhi ministers Atishi, Gopal Rai, Kailash Gahlot and Saurabh Bharadwaj are making the rounds as contenders, party insiders said and added that Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal and Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel were also probables.
