A home in Sydney’s north-west has been peppered with bullets in a late-night drive-by shooting.

Police were called to Nangar Crescent in North Kellyville shortly after 11pm after reports of shots fired at a two storey home.

Two men and a woman were inside the home at the time but weren’t injured.

Footage from the scene showed damage to the front door and shattered windows.

An abandoned car was found on fire in nearby Rouse Hill a short time later.

The blaze is being treated as suspicious.

Police believe the two incidents may be linked.

Detectives are also investigating whether the home was the intended target of the shooting.

Police are scheduled to provide an update on Thursday morning.

A motorist has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following a 12-vehicle pile-up on the Western Freeway in regional Victoria.

Multiple westbound lanes were closed between Gordon and Wallace to clear the collision caused by black ice.

‘It is believed up to 12 vehicles drove through black ice on the Western Freeway, resulting in several vehicles colliding,’ a spokesman said.

One patient was airlifted to Melbourne, while three others were taken to Ballarat Base Hospital with minor injuries.

Motorists were warned to expect delays and to take care driving in the treacherous road conditions.

‘Braking takes longer in icy conditions, so keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front,’ VicTraffic advised.

An 18-year-old has been charged after two teenagers were stabbed in a violent brawl inside a shopping centre in Sydney’s west.

Emergency services rushed to Westfield Mount Druitt about 5.15pm on Tuesday following reports of an assault.

It’s understood a verbal altercation broke out between two groups of young males known to each other outside the shopping centre.

The groups separated but then crossed paths again outside the nearby Kmart a short time later.

A 17-year-old boy and a 22-year-old man were allegedly stabbed

Investigators believe the alleged attack was related to recent ‘postcode’ wars.

Three cars and a truck collided on the M4 eastbound at Minchinbury shortly before 6am Thursday.

The crash closed two of the three eastbound lanes, sparking massive delays with 10km-long traffic queues.

An injured woman, 65, was taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.

A man has been charged with high-range drink driving after he was allegedly detected speeding through a school zone during school drop-off in Sydney’s west.

Police were patrolling Flushcombe Road in Blacktown about 8.30am on Wednesday when they spotted a Toyota C-HRV allegedly travelling at 82km/h in a 40km/h school zone – more than twice the speed limit.

They pulled over the driver to perform a roadside breath test, which allegedly returned a positive result.

The 43-year-old driver was arrested and taken to the police station, where a secondary breath analysis allegedly returned a reading of 0.163 – more than three times over the limit.

He was issued a court attendance notice to appear at Blacktown Local Court on 17 July 17.

The man was also issued an infringement notice for speeding and had his driver’s licence suspended.
