Backbone One gaming controller, unveiled at the iPhone 16 series launch event, is now available in India. The device has been to be a versatile controller that can be used with both iOS and Android devices. It can be connected to the smartphone via USB-C or lightning ports and promises to offer low-latency performance without any unnecessary lag. The Backbone One gaming controller has a starting price of Rs 7,769 in India and can be purchased from Amazon.
Backbone One Controller: Supported Devices And Compatibility
The USB-C variant of the controller will support in iPhone 15 or 16 series and any Android devices. The Lightning version, however, is only meant for iPhone 14 series and older models. The Backbone One controller comes in two colour options. The base variant is black and the white edition has been designed in collaboration with Sony PlayStation.
The device will offer a console-like experience for all smartphone games available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store that feature native controller functionality. The list is led by some popular mobile games like Minecraft, Call Of Duty: Mobile, Diablo Immortal, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Genshin Impact.
The Backbone One controller also supports remote play on smartphones, thanks to the features of PlayStation Remote Play, Xbox Remote Play and Steam Link mobile applications. The device is also compatible with Xbox Cloud Gaming. Games can use this feature only when they have an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription.

Similar to Xbox and PlayStation controllers, this device comes with Analogue Triggers ensuring precise gaming input. It features dual thumbstick and a dedicated D-pad to enhance control. Users can also capture screenshots and record gameplay videos with the Backbone One controller.
There is a magnetic adapter system to provide compatibility with any phone case. It also offers pass-through charging so that gamers can keep their smartphone powered during intense sessions. Moreover, the controller has a 3.5mm headphone jack for audio connectivity.
For the first-time purchase, Backbone offers a one-year warranty for this mobile gaming controller. Users will get lifetime firmware updates through the official Backbone app.
