Bank Holiday Today: Banks in Jammu and Srinagar will be closed on the occasion of Jumat-Ul-Vida. Customers are advised to carry out banking activities online if they require to do today.
Are Banks Open Tomorrow, Saturday, March 29?
Banks are set to open tomorrow as the upcoming Saturday is the fifth one of March. As per RBI’s directions, all scheduled and non-scheduled banks observe public holiday on second and fourth Saturdays.
Are Banks Open Or Closed On 31 March?
Even though Eid-ul-Fitr is on 31 March, banks will remain operational on the day. As per RBI’s holiday list, banks are supposed to be closed on 31 March in most states except for Himachal Pradesh and Mizoram due to Eid-ul-Fitr.
Thus, all banking services will remain operational on that day.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has mandated banks to remain operational on 31 March, the last working day of the financial year 2024-25, to avoid any discrepancy in financial reporting.
It aims to ensure all financial transactions for the fiscal year 2024-25 are completed before the new financial year commences on 1 April.
Bank Holiday On 1 April
Banks will remain operational on 1 April due to annual account closing activities. However, banks will remain closed in Meghalaya, Chhattisgarh, Mizoram, West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh and Meghalaya.
