In his upcoming book Johnson reveals a listening device was found in his bathroom after Netanyahu’s visit to the UK Foreign Office.

Former UK prime minister Boris Johnson has alleged that a listening device was discovered in his private bathroom at the Foreign Office, after it was used by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to The Telegraph.

Johnson, the UK foreign minister at the time, claimed that following a visit from the Israeli PM in 2017, his security team discovered bugging devices in the restrooms after the Prime Minister had used them.

This revelation was made in Johnson’s book, Unleashed, which will hit the bookstores this month.

During their meeting in his former office, Johnson recounts that Netanyahu, whom he refers to as Bibi, stepped out to use the bathroom, which Johnson describes as resembling “the gents in a posh London club” located within a “secret annexe”.

“Thither Bibi repaired for a while, and it may or may not be a coincidence but I am told that later, when they were doing a regular sweep for bugs, they found a listening device in the thunderbox,” Johnson wrote in his book, Unleashed.

“I think everything you need to know about that episode is in the book,” Johnson told the English daily, The Telegraph.

The newspaper said that around the same time, Israel was accused of planting listening devices in the White House.
