The sequel to the 2015 hit comedy film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon recently went on floors in Mumbai.

Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, known for her stint in Bigg Boss 16, is awaiting her big screen debut with the Punjabi film Shaunki Sardar, which is slated to hit the theatres this year. Besides this, the actress is speculated to have signed her debut Bollywood project. As per a recent report, Nimrit will be making her Bollywood debut with Kapil Sharma’s upcoming sequel Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2.
A source close to the production said, “There has been talk regarding Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia joining the cast of Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2. While nothing is finalised, her name has emerged as a strong possibility. Given her fame and charm, she would make an excellent addition to the film’s ensemble cast,” as quoted by Filmibeat. However, an official confirmation regarding the film’s female lead is still awaited.
As reported by IANS, the filming of the much-awaited sequel to the 2015 hit comedy has already begun in Mumbai. Featuring Kapil Sharma in the lead role, the film promises to deliver another dose of laughter and chaos. Helmed by Anukalp Goswami, the project is being produced by Ratan Jain, Ganesh Jain and Abbas-Mustan under Venus Worldwide Entertainment in association with Abbas Mustan Film Production.
The sequel marks the reunion of Kapil with the iconic duo Abbas-Mustan, who helmed the first installment. Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 also features Manjot Singh, known for his performances in Fukrey and Wild Wild Punjab, in an important role. However, the official release date of the film is yet to be announced.
Talking about Nimrit, her debut Punjabi film Shaunki Sardar features Guru Randhawa, Babbu Mann, Hasheen Chauhan and Karina Sorella in pivotal roles. Helmed by Dheeraj Rattan, the film is a story about love, loyalty and cultural pride. Backed by Guru Randhawa’s production banner, 751 Films, Shaunki Sardar will be hitting the theatres on May 16.
Apart from this, Nimrit is known for her performance in the popular TV show Choti Sarrdaarni. She was also a part of Rohit Shetty’s popular adventure reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 in which Karan Veer Mehra emerged as the winner.
