Bill Burr slammed for shocking tip to female politicians as he calls Trump an ‘orange bigot’ in wild SNL rant

Bill Burr got a furious backlash for telling female politicians to ‘w*** it up’ to win elections and calling Donald Trump a ‘bigot’ in a wild rant on Saturday Night Live.

The 56-year-old comedian hosted the sketch show’s first episode since Trump defeated Kamala Harris in the US presidential election this Tuesday.

In his wild opening monologue, Burr joked that women are ‘0 and 2 against this guy,’ referring to the fact Trump previously beat Hillary Clinton in 2016.

He offered his tongue-in-cheek suggestions to women seeking office, telling them to stop wearing trouser suits and wear sultrier outfits to seduce voters.

‘You all know how to get a free drink,’ he said, adding that ‘I know a lot of ugly women – feminists, I mean – don’t wanna hear this message.’

‘All right, ladies, you’re 0 and 2 against this guy. O and 2! All right? But you learn more from your losses than your wins,’ Burr began.

‘So let’s get into the game tape, all right? Ladies, enough with the pantsuit. Okay? It’s not working. Stop trying to have respect for yourselves,’ he quipped.

‘You don’t win the office like on policy, you know? You gotta whore it up a little! I’m not saying go full Hooters, but find the happy medium between Applebee’s and your dad didn’t stick around,’ the comic continued.

‘You all know how to get a free drink. Okay? And I know, listen I know a lot of ugly women – feminists, I mean – don’t wanna hear this message. But just tease ‘em a little bit! Make a farmer feel like he’s got a shot. Swing a state over a little bit.’

Burr’s jokes were met with a livid response on X, formerly Twitter, where one viewer raged: ‘bill burr making jokes about how kamala should’ve shown more skin if she wanted to win and how feminists are just bitter ugly women in 2024?? tf??? kick him off the stage #snl.’

Another lamented: ‘bill burr just said on saturday night live that women need to “w**** it up ” to win the white house and then proceeded to tell a classic “feminists are ugly” joke guess we ARE going back.’

A third X user accused Burr of ‘infecting the entire SNL show with washed up Andrew Dice Clay misogyny’ while a fourth called the monologue ‘tone deaf.’

Burr referred to Trump as a ‘bigot’ while criticizing the protracted American election campaigns on the grounds that voters have already made their choice beforehand.

‘I’ll be honest with you, I am so psyched that this stupid election is finally over. Took forever. Everybody knew who they were voting for four years ago, and then they just drag you through a year and a half of this stuff,’ he said.

‘Who was sitting there watching the debate still not decided? Two of the most polar opposite people ever. It’s like: “All right, let’s see, what does the orange bigot have to say? Hmm. How about the real estate agent that speaks through her nose? Oh, here’s a point – this is so difficult! They overlap. I just can’t make up my mind!”‘

He was also slammed online for criticizing Trump, including by one X user who said he host ‘Calls himself a comedian and totally wokes out. Probably because he hates Trump. Another one being controlled.’

At another stage in his monologue, Burr also shared his reaction to the assassination attempt on Trump at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania over the summer.

After the bullet grazed his ear, Trump famously put his fist in the air and, with blood spattered across his face, told the audience: ‘Fight! Fight!’

‘I can’t believe Trump didn’t win this thing like four months ago,’ said Burr. ‘I know that’s weird for younger people to hear, but when I was a kid, if you were running for president and you got shot and you didn’t die, that was the end of the election.’

He joked: ‘There was nothing you could say, right? Everybody would just be like: “This guy’s the man! He’s the king!”‘

Burr theorized that ‘the number one reason Trump survived is all those herky-jerky movements that he does. I’ll give you – the guy is a lunatic. I mean, he literally got shot and immediately jump backed up and started yelling in the direction the bullets were coming from unarmed. That’s not a sage human being!’

The comedian joked: ‘I woulda been on the ground crying in the fetal position: “Like, all right, gimme the truck! I don’t want this job anymore! Just tell her she won! Tell her she won!”‘

Burr earned a huge laugh imitating Trump’s onstage gestures, then said that the president-elect’s would-be assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks ‘couldn’t get a bead on him. And like right as he pulled the trigger, Trump was just like: “And Sleepy Joe!” and the bullet went by his head.’

As his monologue drew to a close, Burr also sent up Trump’s recent campaign stop where he worked at a McDonald’s – after accusing Kamala Harris of lying when she claimed she once worked there as a summer job in college.

‘My favorite part of the campaign, though, was when Trump went to McDonald’s. Wasn’t that amazing? That’s the only time I’ve ever seen that guy truly happy. Like he was glowing. When he got behind the counter, it was like he was behind stage at like Springsteen or something,’ Burr quipped.

‘He’s like: “Oh my God, this is where they make the French fries!” And he was sticking a couple of extra in one. He goes: “Hey, whoever gets this one’s gonna be excited.” It’s like: “Oh my God, was that empathy? Other people, Donald?” It’s like when the Grinch came down the hill bringing the toys back and his heart got a little bigger.’
