Following a bombshell report on Donald Trump being informed about his mention in the Jeffrey Epstein case files, The Wall Street Journal has now published an article revealing details of a birthday album, which included a letter from former US President Bill Clinton and Donald Trump.
According to the report, the letter was written in Clinton’s handwriting and was posted on Jeffrey Epstein’s 50th birthday in 2003.
Is part of a leather-bound volume orchestrated by Epstein’s former girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, the report claimed.
The birthday compilation details, as revealed by The WSJ, also carried several personal messages from dozens of Epstein’s elite connections.
The letter by Clinton praised Epstein’s “childlike” curiosity and long-standing friendships, the report revealed.
Meanwhile, the letter by Donald Trump, according to the report, featured a crude sketch and a sexually suggestive message. Trump, however, has denied writing the note.
On July 17, the Journal published an article about the letter with Trump’s signature. In response, the President filed a $10 billion defamation lawsuit against The Wall Street Journal, its parent company, and several individuals involved in the report.
Bill Clinton took four trips on Epstein’s private jet and once visited his Manhattan townhouse, each time with his Secret Service team and for reasons related to the Clinton Foundation’s work, his spokesperson had earlier clarified.
Clinton was also photographed with Epstein and Maxwell at a White House event in 1993 and socialised with Epstein in the early 2000s.
At his Manhattan townhouse, Epstein hung a painting that depicted Clinton wearing a blue dress and red heels, The WSJ quoted people who saw it.
Epstein, who killed himself in jail in 2019 while awaiting trial, also had many prominent friends in political and celebrity circles besides Trump.
Over the years, thousands of pages of records have been released through lawsuits, Epstein’s criminal dockets, public disclosures and Freedom of Information Act requests.
In January 2024, a court unsealed the final batch of a trove of documents that had been collected as evidence in a lawsuit filed by Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre.
Records made public also include a 2016 deposition in which an accuser recounted spending several hours with Epstein at Trump’s Atlantic City casino, but didn’t say if she actually met Trump and did not accuse him of any wrongdoing.
Trump has also said that he once thought Epstein was a “terrific guy,” but that they later had a falling out.
