Boy, seven, is rushed to hospital after being hit by a car

A child has been rushed to hospital after he was hit by a car in Sydney.

Ambulance crews were called to Henry Street in Guildford, in the city’s west, after reports a seven-year-old boy had been hit by a car at about 5.50pm on Saturday. 

The boy suffered non life-threatening injuries to his head and leg and was treated at the scene by paramedics.

He was then rushed to the Westmead Children’s Hospital in a stable condition for further treatment. 

The 35-year-old male driver of the car was uninjured. 

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
